Dave is a result’s orientated construction professional with 30 years of expertise in commercial construction. Dave spent 15 years working for a major national contractor as a regional manager prior to setting up Modcon Projects.
Dave brings extensive knowledge around all aspects of a project including risk and programme management. Dave has a comprehensive range of skills covering all aspects of design, management and contracting both in the South Island and nationally.
Dave has strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Dave has gained national industry knowledge over the last 30+ years, and he is solutions focused. His experience over the years will allow for effective governance of any project and he is fully aware of the pitfalls and opportunities that lay ahead.
BEN PRITCHARD
Director
Ben is a quantity surveyor and estimator with over thirty years’ experience. Ben’s experience spans across large commercial, hospitality, civil construction, residential and earthquake recovery. Ben was educated in the United Kingdom and holds a post graduate qualification in Construction law, BSc (Hons) in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying.
Ben Pritchard has worked for tier 1 construction companies as a QS and Commercial manager over the years. Ben’s extensive CV has provided industry knowledge, strategies and procedures that would allow any project to operate successfully. Ben’s technical skills include risk management that allow for project planning, development of contingency planning and coming up with solutions to problems. Ben is a financial manager and can budget plan, financially forecast, and track project spending. Ben’s financial management knowledge will lead to greater use of project resources and will maximize efficiency gains on site.
BEN MICHEL
Director
Ben Michel has spent his working life working in construction. Ben Michel has worked his way up to be operations manager over the last 20 years. Ben Michel is non adversarial, positive, and commercially minded.
Ben has built strong relationships with Client’s project managers, their design teams, subcontractors, and supply chains over the years. Ben Michel is analytical when it comes to programming, and he has strong communication skills. Ben has a flexible approach to his work, and this is one of the reasons that we continue to get repeat work from key Clients.
Ben has good delegation skills and time management which allows him to work smartly. Ben also has a team of quality project managers and site managers that work with him, which allows him to manage his time effectively.
Ben has good organizational skills which allowed Modcon Projects to grow with Client’s in the Canterbury Region, but we also work across the South Island and North Island. This is a testament to Ben’s ability to manage, delegate and lead as a construction professional with Modcon Projects. Ben will also ensure the Health and Safety and Quality Assurance is being managed to national industry standards.
